Like the FT60 the FT40 just works. It is the more affordable advanced general fitness trainer from Polar.

The people that bought the FT40 (instead of the FT60) wanted to save $35 and didn’t care about the features GPS (via add on), automatic age-based heart rate zones, training program to optimise training load and personal heart rate zone limits.
