Timex Heart Rate Monitor I’d Get

——————————————————————————————————–

Dear Friend,

The watch I’d get isn’t necessarily the watch for you. BUT it probably is the best watch for you if you train just like me. Here’s what I do, do you do the same?

  1. Do you enjoy sprinting and running (outdoors or indoors doesn’t matter) once or twice a week?… Me too.
  2. Do you enjoy the odd hike or long walk around your city or town?… Me too.
  3. Do you like hitting up the gym for some weights 2 or so times per week? Me too.
  4. Do you enjoy playing some sport or attending a boxing class once in awhile?… Me too.
  5. Do you enjoy or want to start learning how to enjoy monitoring your heart rate during ALL those activities?

Cool… if you answered yes to 2 or more of those then the watch i’d get is probably the best watch for you!

Hefty Value For Price in This Workhorse

Timex Ironman Road Fitness heart rate monitor Men! Click Here

The Timex Ironman Road Trainer is the Timex heart rate monitor i’d get. It has some pretty cool heart rate monitoring ability. It has 5 target zones, calorie counter, 50 workouts memory, coded chest strap, interval timers and ability to set (manually) target zones for each, recovery heart rate timer, data transfer to PC or Mac (with add-on Data Recorder), stopwatch and more… let me tell you about the more:

Be Like An Ironman or Women

The name says it all – IRONMAN. Timex is well known for their everlasting sports watches. The suckers don’t break! And the heart rate monitor is no exception. I mean this bad-boy has 100m of water resistance. You can definitely swim with it (although the heart rate data will not be accurate due to the chest strap to watch signal being coded to flow through air – not the 1000 times more dense water).

So. Basically the Timex will stick with you while you stick with your training. Even when your  legs burn, even when you can’t think straight and even when your lungs beg you to stop… The Road Trainer will be with you every step of the way. And that’s what you need!

Win Races Easily – Pace Your Road Training Like A Pro

The main benefit of the Road Trainer, and essentially why it is called “Road Trainer” is its interval timers. You can use them to pace your runs or walks or anything really because you have the ability to set a heart rate zone for each of the 5 timers.

That means you can setup a “warmup pace” with whatever heart rate zone you want your warmup to have. And you can set the interval timer to be however long you want your warmup to last. So the watch makes sure you stay in your warmup heart rate zone until the timer goes off. If you go too fast or slow the watch beeps. When the warmup is over the watch beeps. And you know to move on to your next preset pace/heart rate zone. So on…

Your entire training session becomes perfectly paced and timed as if you were on a treadmill doing one of those in-built treadmill programs. But of course, the watch frees you from the confines of an underwear smelling cardio-room sweatbox and allows you to enjoy the sweet smelling fresh air and cool breeze in your face. Priceless!

Warning: No one Will Know You Are Wearing A Heart Rate Monitor Watch

Timex Women's Road Trainer Heart rate monitor Women! Click Here

It’s cool looking. Regular looking. Polar heart rate monitors tend to more eccentric. But this one is perfect for everyday use. Men’s and women’s versions allow you to tweak the colors to match your style. Wear it to the park, to work, to the shopping center… It can be your training watch, your normal watch and keep you looking good the whole time.

Free Food Diary, Training Log and Custom Workouts

As I mention above the data upload is via the Data Recorder 2. The Data Recorder 2 talks with your chest strap and records the heart rate data directly from it. Your watch, the Road Trainer, does record 50 workouts worth of heart rate data… But you need the Data Recorder 2 to upload to PC or Mac. It is a little device that you either slip in your pocket or clip on your shirt or shoe when training. It is durable and weather proof. However, I think Timex could improve upon their data upload option by allowing you direct upload from your watch (ie. via bluetooth or some other wireless means). Get the recorder if you want to add it on to your Road Trainer and take full advantage of TrainingPeaks.com. Where you can keep a food diary, get custom training plans based on your HR data and of course keep a detailed training log for future reference. Want the to see more about the Data Recorder 2? The Best Value For Money Heart Rate Monitor In Existence

You will not be disappointed with this watches ability to unlock ALL the benefits of heart rate training. To check out some more photos and that check out the below link:

Best Timex Heart Rate Monitor For Social and Group Fitness Like Exercise Classes, Workout Videos and Bootcamps

——————————————————————————————————–

Dear Friend,

If you listen to your iPod when you exercise…don’t matter if it’s Coldplay, Snoop Dogg, Metallica, Techno, Shania Twain or Brian Adams… But if you like to crank it to ROCK CONCERT VOLUME and NEVER want to stop, you’ll want this watch for heart rate training…

If you enjoy the company of others when you pump it, jump it, spin it, box it or bootcamp it… and do not want to FOCUS on hearing a slight beep the entire time… BUT still want to heart rate train, you’ll want to take a look at this watch…

So. What watch is this? And how will this watch help you do those things?

The Amazing Heart Rate Zone Graphical Display

Timex Zone Trainer heart rate monitor Timex Zone Trainer

Let me tell you: the Timex Zone Trainer takes a different approach to zone training. Instead of sending out a timid audible alarm to let you know a different HR zone has been entered… the Zone Trainer does something different. It has a graphical display of your current self set or auto set (your choice) heart rate zone. This way, when you miss the beep, you can simply look down at the display (at the end of a song) to instantly see which zone you’re in… The display shows you the heart rate zone (min and max) in numbers and also gives you a square indicator on a reference line to see how far you are from resting HR and max HR.

You can see the graphical display in the image. Look at the top of the watch screen. See the 125-142 and the square indicator halfway along the reference line? That’s what i’m on about.

Calories In, Calories Out

Don’t worry, that isn’t all you get. You get loads more stuff. Do you want to track your calories? Maybe you’re managing your weight or maybe you’re just interested in seeing how many calories you burn during exercise… you get a calorie expenditure counter with the Zone Trainer.

Want To Know Your Risk of Heart Attack?

Have you heard about how to check your risk of heart attack with a heart rate monitor? Yes, you can. Medical research has indicated that your recovery heart rate (drop in heart rate 1 minute after peak exercise) is one of the best indicators of heart health. The idea is that the faster your heart recovers to resting heart rate after peak exertion the LESS a chance of heart attack you have… The Zone Trainer has an in-built recovery timer. Set the timer to 1 minute. Get close to your max heart rate. And use the watch to help test your risk. Essentially the research point to about 12 bpm as the turning point. So. If your heart rate drops more than 12 bpm within 1 minute of peak exertion – you have a lower risk. Doesn’t drop more than 12 – increased risk…

Karate Chop Exercise That Isn’t Effective

You lucky lucky thing… Timex didn’t stop there! You also get a coded chest strap so no interference when you’re training next to others with heart rate monitors or when outdoors near powerlines, a stopwatch, 27 workout memory and data upload ability (via the Data Recorder 2).

What is the point of uploading your heart rate data? Timex offers a free service called TrainingPeaks.com… it is an online training log that offers you a food diary, custom training plans based on your HR data and of course a training log to track your past workouts. You can make the decision if you want that… I’ll just say (1) it’s free and (2) wouldn’t it be cool to (2 years from now) look back and see how you exercised? I mean, you could then compare your exercise routine with what your health was like after maybe a month or two of that exercise… or even how good you looked… or how you felt… whatever… the point is you can copy what worked and karate chop into dust the exercise patterns that didn’t work. Not a bad idea?

TrainingPeaks.com

As I mention above the data upload is via the Data Recorder 2. The Data Recorder 2 talks with your chest strap and records the heart rate data directly from it. Your watch, the Zone Trainer, does record 27 workouts worth of heart rate data… But you need the Data Recorder 2 to upload to PC or Mac. It is a little device that you either slip in your pocket or clip on your shirt or shoe when training. It is durable and weather proof. However, I think Timex could improve upon their data upload option by allowing you direct upload from your watch (ie. via bluetooth or some other wireless means). Get the recorder if you want to add it on to your Zone Trainer and take full advantage of TrainingPeaks.com. You can see its full details on Amazon here.

Want to Spend A Little Less Cash?

The next option down from this watch is the watch featured below – the Personal Trainer. If you decide to drop a model down you would save money but lose the data transfer ability (so no TrainingPeaks.com), you would lose the stopwatch, you would lose the coded chest strap to prevent interference and you would lose the automatic age-based target zones (you would only get manually inputted zones).

Are You More Into Running and Currently Training For A Marathon and So On…?

Jumping up to the Road Trainer above is simply a trade-off of featuroos. They cost pretty much the same and are essentially the same watch. With the exception of… The Road Trainer is more for running and race training and the Zone Trainer is more for exercise classes and bootcamps. This is because the Road Trainer has interval timers with heart rate zones attached to each. This is ideal for pacing yourself. Which is ideal for run training.  The Zone Trainer does not have this… But… The Road Trainer does not have the graphical heart rate zone display… Up to you what you want.

Act Now

There isn’t much more I can tell you. In my opinion the Zone Trainer is the best Timex for you if you enjoy social and group fitness like exercise classes and bootcamps. So if you want to see the full product description for this watch you can, no worries… There are a few different color and style options:
