How to Lose Body Fat and Get Lean With Cardio

The smart way. The heart rate training way.

Best cardio workoutWant to have the body of that man or woman?

What if I told you you’re heart rate monitor is the only tool you need to do so?

Well, it is.

Let me explain.

As more people begin to realize that getting lean with fad diets and conventional fat loss courses might not be the best way to lose body fat, I’m getting more and more questions related to cardio workouts that lead to steady fat loss:

  • What is the best cardio workout?
  • How much cardio? Why that much cardio?
  • Which activity is best and why?
  • What is the best cardio workout schedule for men for women?

The list goes on and on. Many of the questions are ‘technique’ and ‘strategy’ related but a growing number also relate to the science of cardio workouts.

Producing a rehashed and generic fat loss program is easy. But creating an effective fat loss course that teaches you why you need to perform cardio a certain way is much more powerful.

It is easy to create a book full of recipes, but much harder to create a course teaching someone how to become a master chef – Rusty Moore

Are Cardio Workouts Dead?

While the activity is still alive and kicking, the stereotypical 1.5 hour jog is pretty unattractive compared with shorter more intense workouts. It is long, boring and has none of the time-saving attributes that the hyped up 10 minute interval training routines do, and the only real benefit people see is low intensity – it’s not grueling.

Plus, Personal Trainers all around the world seem to have adopted to the mainstream idea that the “afterburn effect” is what really matters. This belief that the best way to get lean is to focus on short intense intervals because they burn more calories after your workout session is ludicrous. What matters is what happens during your cardio!

So if your goal is to get lean, lose body fat and avoid “plateaus” and “sticking points,”  you need to understand how fat loss works.

This Strategy Teaches You the “Skill” of Losing Body Fat

The good news for people interested in getting lean from cardio is that the best workouts are not 2 hours long and boring, nor are they 10 minutes long and dreadful. In fact, you can often get an amazing “Hollywood look” with only 30 minutes of cardio 3 times per week, as long as that cardio is performed at the correct average intensity level.

Contrary to what you may think, your perception of your workout intensity is most likely way-off. Think about the people you know who run out of breathe walking up a flight of stairs. They think they’re going all-out like Lance Armstrong up L’Alpe d’Huez. However, in reality, their heart rate is telling a very different story.

There are so many fat loss courses, cardio programs and fad diets out there that try to tell you the key to getting lean is “only eat fruit” or “eat 10 small meals a day” or “only do this ab vibration exercise” and the fat will disappear. This is ideal for selling you their “key” to fat loss, yes, and people do buy these crazy products in droves. But that doesn’t mean they work.

Visual Impact Cardio – Best Cardio Workout

There’s only one cardio course that provides clear guidance for how long, often and intensely you should be doing it to ensure steady fat loss, and it’s called Visual Impact Cardio by Rusty Moore. This in-depth cardio fat loss course quickly discusses the biggest myths about cardio workouts, and then takes you step-by-step through:

  • burning stubborn body fat
  • workout, food and calorie timing on a weekly (not daily) basis – GAME CHANGER!
  • how to incorporate resistance training for more speedy fat loss, and
  • exactly what activities to do, for how long, how often and at which definitive intensity levels (corresponding to your heart rate) to ensure success

Rusty then talks about how his progressive 8-week cardio cycles (including beginner, intermediate and advanced cycles) are not meant to be done year-round. But instead, used to reach your desired weight and leanness and then maintained. This is what really sets this course apart from the others. Rusty does not want you to suffer. He even goes so far as to say:

Ideally, you will be in maintenance [less frequent cardio] at least 9 months out of the year

When Rusty released Visual Impact Cardio, he first announced it on his Facebook page and naturally, I ‘liked’ it. You see, since 2010 I have been reading his Fitness Black Book blog that is all about getting the lean “Hollywood look” (ie. lean, not bulky – perfect for women and men alike) and have had much success implementing his advice…

…For this reason (and the fact I read the 99 page course without being able to put it down) I have no problem recommending it to you (and using my affiliate link). It reveals several concrete strategies that will be appealing to “early adopters” looking to stray from the mainstream and reach new heights of fat loss.

This course is a game-changer! It gives you an exact blueprint for getting lean with cardio and also trains you to become a Master Chef not just another Recipe Follower
